There is a $0.40 off 1 Karo® Syruo Product coupon (SS 09/30/18, exp. 11/11/18) available. The regular price for a 16 oz. bottle at Shoprite is $3.29. It is on sale for $2.69. With the coupon, doubled, the final out of pocket total is $1.89/0.118 oz. However, if you are not going to use 32 oz. of corn syrup, buy Karo® at Shoprite and save $1.10.

Vanilla

Yes, the price of vanilla has gone up, again! Although, the price per ounce is almost $0.31 cheaper at Costco, I'm not willing to spend the extra $30.00 for 16 oz. of vanilla. However, if you are an avid baker and $34.99 fits in your budget, you will save $4.93 when buying it at Costco.

Simple Grocery Deal Tip: I use maple syrup as a substitute for vanilla in banana bread and energy bites when I don't have vanilla.

Almonds

Here is the latest pricing for almonds as of October 9:

I paid $4.99 for a 14 oz. bag of roasted unsalted almonds. Costco's price went up to $11.79. It is cheaper, per ounce, to buy them at Costco but:

Do you need a 40 oz. bag? You may be saving based on the unit pricing, but I found I ate more when we had the larger bag in the house. Therefore, we had to buy almonds more often.
Can you afford the extra $6.80? If your budget is limited, it may be hard to spend $11.79 on almonds.

UPDATE ON PRICING: When I took the photo of the almonds, I asked a sales clerk if they knew how long the sale price will last. She mentioned that the numbers at the bottom right on the tag is the end date of 9/25. However, the signs were missing when I went on Wednesday, September 19 and the item scanned for $4.99. I showed him the photo and gave me the product for $3.99.

Save $1.30 through September 25 on almonds! The unit price is $0.285/oz. which makes it cheaper than Costco by $0.09. That is not a lot of savings per ounce but now we are not paying a premium for the smaller sized packaging or having to spend $11.49 to save. I purchased the 40 oz. bag of almonds at Costco on July 9, 2018 and paid $11.49. Let me know if that is what you pay at your local Costco.

Milk

Organic - Half Gallon

UPDATE: The price of a half gallon went down to $2.99 for now!

The price for the 1/2 gallon organic milk went up $0.34. Even at $3.29, Aldi still has one of the lowest prices for a half gallon of organic milk. However, price per ounce, ShopRite's Wholesome Pantry gallon is cheaper at $4.99.

Raisins

The price of raisins increased by ~~$0.42~~ an additional $0.30 for the 20 oz. canister. Aldi is still cheaper than our local Shoprite, Target and Walmart. The store brand 20 ounce canister sells for $4.69 at Shoprite, $3.89 at Target, and $3.68 at Walmart.

Bran Flakes

On April 20:
The price of Bran Flakes went up $0.20 at Aldi earlier this month. As of April 20, Trader Joe's price remains the same at $1.99. Assuming the price at at Trader Joe's doesn't change, I can save $1.00 a month and $8.00 the rest of the year when I buy the cereal there.
